Attending the Royal Wedding? Here's a Few "Do's & Don'ts"

If you're attending a royal wedding watch party Saturday, you might try and abide by the dress code required of those attending the real deal at Windsor Castle.

To begin with, only the wedding party is allowed to wear white. Members of the Royal Family must not have colorful nail polish. Only clear or neutral colors allowed.

Women are required to cover their shoulders. Hemlines must be below the knee. Women are expected to wear tights or hose. And because Queen Elizabeth II has a pet peeve about wedges, that style of shoe is forbidden in her presence -- and especially at the Royal Wedding.

If you remember the 2011 Royal Wedding, hats and “fascinators” are all the rage. Women are expected to accessorize with headwear. A British etiquette expert explained (quote) “You can't go to the Royal Wedding without a hat. A fascinator is a small headpiece. It covers part of the head whereas a hat covers the full head.”

Rules for the men are short and simple: a tuxedo with tails or their military uniform. (Entertainment Tonight)
