...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EST THIS

EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow

accumulations of 3 to 6 inches and ice accumulations of one

tenth to two tenths of an inch are expected. Ice accumulations

will likely exceed a quarter inch for elevations above 1000

feet.

* WHERE...Portions of central and western Virginia and portions

of eastern West Virginia.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM EST this evening. Snow will change to sleet

and freezing from southwest to northeast between 7 am and 10 am

this morning. Rain will freeze on some surfaces through this

evening ending as a period of rain overnight.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel will be very difficult. The

hazardous conditions will impact the morning and evening

commutes. The combined weight of snow, sleet and freezing rain

could result in downed branches and isolated power outages.
