It seems some iPhone users are experiencing issues with their alarms not going off, and you're not alone. This problem has been observed since the release of iOS 17, but there’s an easy solution.
The culprit is a feature called Attention Aware, which utilizes the iPhone's TrueDepth camera to detect if you’re actively looking at your screen. Sometimes, this feature can misinterpret things, thinking you're awake and attentive even when you're fast asleep. As a result, your alarm might remain silent.
To resolve this:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Navigate to Accessibility
- Select Face ID & Attention
- Turn off the toggle for Attention Aware Features
With this adjustment, you can rest easy knowing your alarm will wake you up when you need it most!
