Do people really fit into one of these four categories? What type of friend are you? Type A, B, C, or D?
A TikToker from North Carolina, Dionna May, went viral with a video showcasing her Type B friends.
This concept is loosely based on personality types. You might be familiar with Type A and Type B personalities, but some psychologists also recognize Type C and D personalities.
- Type A: High-achievers who enjoy being in control.
- Type B: More relaxed and easygoing.
- Type C: Similar to Type A but tend to suppress their emotions.
- Type D: More prone to irritability and stress.
Dionna’s friend categories are a bit different but have their own unique traits:
- Type A friend: The responsible planner who organizes everything and ensures plans don’t fall apart.
- Type B friend: Generous and helpful but often forgetful, leaving things behind, and always has a dead phone.
- Type C friend: Organized like Type A but more neurotic, often opting out of group activities, and enjoys long naps.
- Type D friend: Frequently annoyed, confrontational, with a dark sense of humor, and possibly interested in things like crystals and astrology.
BuzzFeed conducted a poll where most people identified as Type A, but many realized they were Type B after watching Dionna’s videos.
Dionna identifies as Type A, while most of her friends are Type B, which she finds stressful due to their Type B tendencies.
