Need one more reason to convince your family to add a dog in your life? Apparently they're good for your gut health!
According to new research from the Columbia University School of Nursing, having a dog helps you get used to bacteria in your home that can help improve your gut deal with other bacteria, yeast, and viruses.
Apparently growing up with a dog has also been shown to reduce the chances of developing allergies and asthma because they improve the microbiome of bacteria in your immune system.
The bacteria you develop also helps heal wounds, kill off bad pathogens and even help certain medications work better so I think you now have plenty of reasons to add a dog or ANOTHER dog into your life for your personal health!
