Amy's Pile: Amazon Grocery Delivery Now Free For U.S. Prime Members

Online Retailer Amazon Launches In Australia

Amazon seems to always be making big moves at the right time. The online shop just announced that their Amazon Fresh service, grocery delivery, is no longer $14.99/month, but free for Amazon Prime subscribers.

The deal is in roughly 2,000 U.S. cities and offers up one-hour and two-hour grocery delivery, which normally would set you back about $180 a year for the subscription. Depending on your location, you can shop from Amazon Fresh or Whole Foods' selections of staples.

The catch as of right now: you have to sign up for an invite before you can use the free service. Either the company is pacing itself for all the deliveries or trying to figure out which cities have the highest demand.
