TMSG: Police Officer Goes Viral For Holding Fussy Baby So Mother Could Eat

Kentucky State Trooper Aaron Hampton has been with KSP for just 14 months. The job was a dream he's had since he was a little boy.

Hampton told Fox 17 News Nashville, "I've always wanted to be a part of an organization which would let me do that and joining the department was perfect. It's something I've wanted to do since I was in second grade."

Trooper Hampton walked into a Mexican restaurant and saw mother Tabatha Corbitt with her baby, two toddlers, and her mother. They were sitting across from Hampton and three other troopers who all stopped for lunch.

The troopers saw Corbitt having to stand up with her baby and eat food with one hand to keep the baby happy. Hampton didn't think twice before jumping in to ask the mom if he could hold her baby so she could enjoy her meal.

Corbitt says of the whole situation, "It was very heartwarming and special. My son doesn't like going to strangers so the fact he did and went to him (trooper) smiling is also a big deal."
