Amy's Pile: Woman Mistakenly Rescues Wild Bobcat Thinking It Was Kitten

Jill Hicks was driving in Chattanooga, Tennessee when she saw a kitten dart across the street. Hicks pulled over and grabbed the cat to help it.

After later consulting with neighbors, she realized she rescued a bobcat kitten. Hicks had planned to go home, give the cat a bath, and let the kitten sleep in bed with her. But after realizing that the cat was a bobcat, she took her to For Fox Sake Wildlife Rescue.

The bobcat kitten was named Arwen. She is recovering until roughly around March where the kitten will be released in a protected area close to where she was found.
