A New Jersey couple says an app on their phone saved their lives when their house caught fire in the middle of the night. Rosa Gonzalez and Anthony Rios were asleep inside their home when they received an alert from their Ring doorbell app that someone was at their side door.
Rios told NBC10, "I thought it was someone playing a joke, like blowing smoke into the camera." The couple soon realized their garage was engulfed in flames. Luckily the couple was able to get out of their house unharmed before the fire spread to other parts of their home. They said without the notification from their phone they might not have woken up in time.
