The future of Farm Aid 40 is officially secure. The landmark concert will take place on September 20, 2025, at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, featuring Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews, and more.
The event was briefly in doubt due to a University of Minnesota labor strike that began on September 9, with organizers making it clear they would not cross a picket line. “The farm and labor movements are inseparable, and we believe strongly that the University must return to the bargaining table in good faith,” Farm Aid said at the time.
That bargaining has now paid off: the strike has been resolved, and Farm Aid confirmed the show is moving forward. “Farm Aid 40 will take place as planned in Minneapolis,” organizers shared in a new statement, thanking fans for their patience during the uncertainty.
First held in 1985, Farm Aid has become an annual tradition, raising millions to support struggling family farmers. This year’s 40th anniversary show promises to be one of its most meaningful yet.
