Snooki Inspires New Law in New Jersey

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie yesterday signed the “Snooki Law,” inspired by the Jersey Shore alum.

It bans public speakers, including Snooki, from earning more than 10-grand per engagement.

Snooki  inspired the law. A state Assemblyman discovered for one of her appearances Rutgers University paid Snooki $32,000 of taxpayers’ money.  Many lawmakers were outraged that Snooki earned more than graduation speaker, Nobel Prize-winning author Toni Morrison.

However, Bruce Springsteen’s guitarist Steven Van Zandt has been grandfathered. This weekend at Rutgers’s graduation, Little Steven can still take home $35,000.
