Robert DeNiro closed out his Tribeca Film Festival with a reunion of “The Godfather” cast and crew. Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, James Caan, Diane Keaton, Talia Shire, and Francis Ford Coppola joined DeNiro on stage after a back-to-back screening of Part one and two of the classic mobster movies. It was also the 45th anniversary of Part one.
The old cast dished on what went down behind the scenes – like the cat that wandered onto Marlon Brando’s lap, Al and Diane getting loaded after the wedding scene, and Paramount’s reluctance to cast Pacino.
After everything was said and done, “The Godfather” event went on for nine hours.
