Tony Romo to Replace Phil Simms on CBS

It didn't take Tony Romo long to find a TV gig.

Just hours after it was reported that the Dallas Cowboys quarterback was retiring from playing to go into broadcasting, the 13-year vet was officially released by the team and signed by CBS to become its lead NFL analyst. Romo had been in talks with several teams to continue his playing career and said the Houston Texans were his top choice...But ultimately, he decided that the TV job offer was too good to pass up.

Romo will replace Phil Simms as the color commentator alongside play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz
