John Mayer is still pining away for Katy Perry. In an interview with the “New York Times,” John admits that his new track, “Still Feel Like Your Man,” was written about his two-year relationship with Katy.
“Who else would I be thinking about?” he tells the paper, adding, “And by the way, it’s a testament to the fact that I have not dated a lot of people in the last five, six years. That was my only relationship. So it’s like, give me this, people.”
And it sure sounds like John, who turns 40 in October, is ready to settle down and have a family. “I wish there was somebody to throw me the 40th,” he said, adding, “I want the baby with the protective earphones” near the stage. He notes, “I’m right on time for my career, and I’m running late for my life.”
As for his current love life, John admits that he's on an exclusive dating app but so far hasn't found the right gal. "It’s just a lot of chatter,” he said. “We all talk to the same people. There are very few people actually meeting up.”
