Morgan Wallen has reached a milestone no country artist has ever touched before.

According to newly released data from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), Wallen is now the highest-selling country artist of all time, surpassing every act in the genre’s history. The achievement also places him third among all recording artists across genres, trailing only Taylor Swift and Drake.

As of December 2025, Wallen has amassed more than 240 million certified units in the United States, driven by a mix of album sales, digital downloads, and streaming. His catalog includes over 26 million albums sold and a record-setting five Diamond-certified singles, a feat no other country artist has achieved.

Those Diamond tracks — each surpassing 10 million units — include “Whiskey Glasses,” “Wasted on You,” “Last Night,” “Heartless,” and “Chasin’ You.” Among them, “Whiskey Glasses” now holds the title of best-selling country song of all time, according to RIAA certifications.

Wallen’s rise has been anything but conventional. He first appeared on The Voice in 2014, exiting early before relocating to Nashville and steadily building momentum. Over the past few years, his success has accelerated with chart-dominating albums, sold-out stadium tours, and unprecedented streaming numbers.

The RIAA reports that Wallen received 80 new certifications in a single month, solidifying his position not only at the top of country music, but among the most commercially successful artists in recorded music history.

In an era dominated by streaming, Wallen’s audience continues to support both digital and physical releases at levels rarely seen in modern country — a key factor in his historic totals.

With his sales now exceeding those of legends who defined earlier eras of the genre, Wallen’s run signals a shift in what modern country success looks like -- and how far it can reach.
