Farm Aid is gearing up for its 40th anniversary with an impressive lineup of artists.

Kenny Chesney, soon to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, will perform at Farm Aid for the fourth time on September 20 at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. This show will be Chesney’s sole concert appearance for 2025 outside of his recently completed Las Vegas residency at Sphere, where he’s scheduled to return in 2026.

Joining him as new additions are country music icons Wynonna Judd and acclaimed Grammy winner Steve Earle, who will make his ninth Farm Aid appearance since debuting at the very first event in 1985.

The event will also feature performances from Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young with Chrome Hearts, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, and Margo Price. Additional acts include Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Trampled by Turtles, Waxahatchee, Eric Burton from Black Pumas, Jesse Welles, and Madeline Edwards.

Since its inception in 1985 by Willie Nelson in Champaign, Illinois, Farm Aid has raised over $80 million to support family farmers and promote sustainable agriculture. This year’s milestone celebration highlights the enduring commitment to farmers who provide food for communities across the country.

Jennifer Fahy, co-executive director of Farm Aid, expressed excitement over Chesney’s return. “Kenny Chesney continues to stand with family farmers by donating his time and talent. Along with Wynonna Judd and Steve Earle joining the lineup, this year’s Farm Aid promises to be a remarkable tribute to the farmers who nourish us all.”
