After celebrating his second inauguration with a crowd of approximately 800,000 people, President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama took it inside for more intimate affairs with about 30,000 guests at a pair of inaugural balls.
At the Commander in Chief's Ball, the Obamas shared a slow dance as Jennifer Hudson sang "Let's Stay Together," the same Al Green classic Obama sang a bit of during a campaign fundraiser last year.
They also honored the military with the president dancing with Air Force Staff Sergeant Bria D. Nelson, while the first lady danced with Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant Timothy D. Easterling.
Michelle Obama got plenty of attention for her red gown designed by Jason Wu, while the president wore a tux with a white tie.
Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, were serenaded by Jamie Foxx, who sang Ray Charles' "I Can't Stop Loving You" while they dance.
During her performance, Alicia Keys switched up the lyrics of "Girl on Fire" to "Obama's on fire."
Other performers at the two balls included Brad Paisley, Far East Movement, fun., John Legend, Katy Perry, Marc Anthony, Smokey Robinson, Soundgarden, Stevie Wonder, Usher and more.
