The survey targeted singles aged 18 to 27, asking them whether their ideal first date would involve physically meeting up or simply having a chat via FaceTime or Zoom. Surprisingly, 65% of respondents opted for the virtual option. Let’s explore the three primary reasons behind this trend:

While one person may still treat the other to dinner (perhaps via a food delivery service), it often remains more economical than dining out at a restaurant.
3. Comfort Zone: Many young individuals now feel more at ease on platforms like Zoom or FaceTime. The virtual setting allows them to be themselves without the pressure of face-to-face interactions. Plus, if things become awkward, there’s no need to endure small talk until the bill arrives—you can simply end the call.
