Greg Gianforte, the Republican candidate for Montana’s congressional seat, has been charged with misdemeanor assault after allegedly attacking Ben Jacobs, a Guardian political reporter. Fox News journalists in the room described the assault as Gianforte ‘slamming him to the ground,’ and then shouting, "Get the hell out of here."
Jacobs was asking Gianforte about the Republican healthcare plan when the candidate allegedly “body-slammed” the reporter. Audio of the assault has been released. Listen below.
