Study Reveals the Safest Seat on a Plane

A recent study revealed the safest place to sit on a plane...and I'll be keeping this in mind the next time I book a flight.

Researchers found that passengers seated near the tail of the plane had a 69% survival rate compared to other parts of the craft.

Seats over the wing and in coach had a 56% survival rate,  and the seats in the front of the plane had a 49% rate.

One of the studies also found that, specifically, middle seats in the rear had the lowest fatality rate at 28%.

The least safe seats were those in the aisle of the middle third cabin.
